Versatile & other
worldly locations

A unique mix of black sands, imposing glaciers and snowcapped mountains, otherworldly lava fields, majestic waterfalls, lakes and lagoons with floating icebergs, the stark highland interior, tundra, moors patched with blue ponds, steam emitting red and yellow sulfur mountains combine the astonishing and robust nature of Iceland.

Capture the 24-hour daylight

From mid-May to mid-August the sun only sets for around 3 hours a day, and it is effectively light for the whole 24-hour period. This phenomenon is known as the "midnight sun" and it creates a sort of lingering twilight in the nighttime hours. In contrast, there are around 4-5 hours of effective daylight during mid-winter. But Iceland's inexpensive geothermal energy means that streets and buildings are well-lit during winter darkness.

Higly accessible,
Smack in the middle

Iceland is highly accessible for film makers. This does not only refer to the country itself with daily flight connections to most major hubs on both sides of the Atlantic. When in Iceland an amazing variety of scenery is within easy reach and high quality accommodation and catering facilities are never far away.
